Your carpets have a warranty, the same
as any other equipment. Carpet manufacturers throughout the U.S. have
pooled their talent and provided criteria for a carpet maintenance
certification program referred to as the Institute of Inspection Cleaning
and Restoration Certification, (IICRC). Carpet manufacturers are beginning
to stipulate that their warranties are invalid if the carpet is not
maintained by an IICRC technician. IICRC technicians are trained in
carpet construction, fiber development, natural and synthetic fibers,
causes of dye loss, proper use of cleaning chemicals, odor control,
and carpet protection and treatment.
Complete and proper floor care should be part of the
overall building maintenance program. Now a complete program is as
simple as turning it over to FSI's Maintenance Division.
You no longer need to be concerned about it and you will receive written
updates regarding any areas of concern.
